About Us

Dominic Schuster is an accredited member of BAFRA (British Antique Furniture Restorer’s Association) and Lucinda Compton served on the committee for 5 years. We are also included in the Conservation Register. Our in-house staff are all highly trained and experienced, with backgrounds in restoration, auction houses and furniture design. Other memberships include The Institute of Conservation and The International Council of Museums Lacquer Group.

Our workshops in London, Yorkshire and Surrey are all fully equipped for antique restoration and new commissions. Using traditional materials and methods, as well as scientific analysis, x-rays and UV examination, we are able to cater for all our clients’ requirements.

Each project is sympathetically assessed on an individual basis, respecting the client’s wish that their piece of furniture should not look ‘restored’ but rather has been well-cared for, without altering patina and age.

With the knowledge gained from such diverse specialisations, we have also developed our own unique finishes which are particularly suitable for contemporary furniture and interior design.

Our clients are some of the most well-known and respected antique dealers, leading interior designers, museums, historic houses and private clients.
