RARE and Limited Editions

Compton and Schuster are pleased to announce the expansion of their business, with the introduction of RARE – (Recycle, Auction, Re-finish, End product); and Limited Editions, a range of their own furniture designs, both unique concepts in interior design with exclusive finishes that have been developed through years of experience in decorative techniques.

RARE builds on the idea that it is possible to furnish your home with stunningly restyled quality antique furniture. Compton and Schuster carefully select a well-proportioned antique, then revive and transform it into a beautiful decorative hand-finished piece. This concept is not just confined to sourcing furniture at auction, but also includes recycling antiques that are left unseen and unused in a client’s own home. Best of all, the idea is about as environmentally friendly as you can get, as it means recycling furniture and objects that are often over 100 years old. In addition, they will retain or increase in value.

With Limited Editions, they have drawn on their experience in the conservation and restoration of fine decorative antiques and have applied their knowledge to an eclectic mix of their own furniture designs with exceptional finishes. Promoting English craftsmanship, these pieces are all made and finished in the UK. A number of these designs will only be made in small quantities.

Their already successful production of antique mirror glass has now diversified into other effects that highlight the use of mirror and how it can be used in modern or traditional interiors.

BAFRA accredited, Compton and Schuster will continue in the conservation and restoration of fine decorative antiques, including gilded, painted and oriental lacquered surfaces.
